| Bharat Scouts organize basic training of flock leaders | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Sept 13- The week long camp for Basic Training of Flock Leaders was organized by Bharat Scouts and Guides here today. For this purpose Santosh Arya and Sunita Sain trainers were invited from Jaipur, Rajasthan. Thirty five girls participated in the camp which was inaugurated by N A Khan State Chief Commissioner Bharat Scouts and Guides J&K State. The resource persons deliberated on various issues relating with the functioning of Bulbul units in Schools of Jammu Region. The participants were apprised of the Bulbul/cub Prayer, Flag Song, Knots, Pioneering activities ,Life Skills, Hygiene and Sanitation, Diary writing, Camp fire conduct with formal prayers, cultural activities including song-drama-dance-rhymes-hyms-story telling and use of formal uniform in the movement. The girls also went for a hike along with the trainers. The famous Dogri play of Natrang GHUMAYE was witnessed by the participants. Most of the participants were from rural areas and running Crèches under the Rajiv Gandhi Scheme of Crèches funded by ICCW, Ministry of Women and Child Development, New Delhi. The valedictory function was organized formally in which Madam Sylvia A Sahni was the chief Guest. The other dignitaries present were Raj Bharti, Prabha Jain, Shashi Sharma,Wing Commander Joshi, Sehaj Singh & Gurcharan Singh. The programme started with the welcome address by Dr Renu Nanda, HQRS Commissioner Rangers & Rovers in which she briefed the activities of the organisation to the guests. Madam Sylvia was welcomed formally & a scarf ceremony was done to welcome her in the movement by Raj Bharti.
