| Shastri demands regularization of all Daily wagers | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Sept 13- National Mazdoor Conference (NMC) has appealed the Chief Minister to regularize the services of all Daily wagers and casual labourers. Addressing workers rally here today, NMC president Subash Shastri said that that the Cabinet Sub-committee constituted by the government for the purpose should be asked to submit its final report to the government at the earliest. He also urged Omar Abdullah to intervene personally to re-address the genuine demands of the clerical staff and ensure that all the anomalies in the SRO-93 are removed so that all sections of the salaried class are benefited optimally from the implementation of 6th pay commission in Jammu and Kashmir. He demanded that the arrears on account of 6th Pay Commission implementation be released in two installments. The NMC Chief demanded that Srinagar and Jammu be declared as B-1 cities as both capital cities fulfill the norms fixed for the purpose. He said such a provision would also enhance infrastructure development of both the capital cities. Highlighting demands of workers, he emphasized that they should be given pensionary benefits and COLA converted into DA. He also pleaded that 5% DA installment from July this year be released in favour of state Government employees. Among those who also addressed the rally included Rajan Babu Khajuria, Sunil Kochhar, Sham Lal Sharma and Bhupinder Singh.
