| Subramanium Swamy stresses for unity among Kashmiri Hindus | | PK holds annual national convention-2009, reiterates demand for ‘Homeland’ | | Early Times Report Jammu, Sept 13- Dr. Subramanium Swamy, economist and a political personality of the country, has stressed for the unity among the Kashmiri Hindus in Jammu and Kashmir. Addressing the Annual National Convention 2009 organized by Panun Kashmir at Abhinav Theatre here today in which more than 1500 delegates from different parts of India attended, Subramanium endorsed the demand of separate Homeland in Kashmir for the Kashmiri Pandits. On this occasion Dr M K Taing, a political think tank of national and international repute, was felicitated for his great contribution to political thought and in-depth understanding and research. Dr Ajay Chrungoo, Chairman Panun Kashmir in his speech emphasized that the displaced community of Kashmiri Pandits, despite being abandoned by the successive governments, had displayed a unique resilience during the twenty years of its exile. On this occasion the Panun Kashmir delegates passed a Resolution and called upon the citizens of the country to prevail upon the Government of India so as to put to an end all secret and back channel negotiations with Pakistan, the Muslim separatist forces and the Jihadi war groups The Resolution also reiterated the Panun Kashmir demand to reverse the genocide of the Hindus of Kashmir and called upon the Government to ensure a speedy implementation of the Margdarshan Resolution of Panun Kashmir adopted in 1991, in order to bring to an end the exile of the Hindu community of Kashmir. In another Resolution passed on the occasion, Panun Kashmir demanded that the State Government should immediately lift the moratorium on the employment of the Hindu Youth in the state services and implement the Prime Minister's package without confusing it with return. Panun Kashmir also reiterated its demand that the Government of India should immediately create a separate Ministry of Rehabilitation and take direct charge of the relief and rehabilitation measures for the exiled community. Prof Hari Om, Dr. Shakti Bhan, Dr Shashi Shekhar Toshkhani, senior member of the Panun Kashmir Advisory Council, Prof M L Kaul, Rashnik Kher and General Secretary of Panun Kashmir, Kuldeep Raina also spoke and shared their views on the occasion. ******
