KATHUA, SEPTEMBER 13 -Minister for Medical Education, Technical, Youth Services and Sports, Mr R S Chib today inaugurated blood donation camp at Sub District Hospital, Hiranagar which was organized by a NGO namely Shakti Punj.
MLA Hiranagar, Mr Durga Dass, MLC, Mr Subash Gupta, Additional District Development Commissioner, Kathua, Mr S C Sahani, Assistant Commissioner Revenue, Chief Medical Officer, Associate Professor, Blood Bank, GMC Jammu, Lecturer Blood Bank, Dr Meena Sidhu and Dr Preetpal Singh were present on the occasion.
Speaking on the occasion, the Minister appreciated the NGO for organizing the blood donation camp. He appealed the people to come forward for blood donation. The Minister said that vacant posts of doctors and para medical staff would be filled up shortly and progressive change will be brought in Youth Services and Sports Department.
The Minister also visited ITI Hiranagar and checked the library register.
The Minister visited sports stadium, Hiranagar where he asked the authorities to construct another shed for the public.
Later, on his visit to temple at Jasmirgarh fort, Jandi, Hirangar Mr Chib said that Rs.20 lakh would be spent for the repair and renovation of the fort. He appealed the political parties to cooperate for the repair and renovation of the fort.
