Jora takes stock of people’s problems

Leh, Sept 14-Tourism Minister Nawang Rigzin Jora who is currently on a visit of Ladakh region today instructed the concerned agency to start construction work of two vital link roads in upper and lower Skyonos-Gogsum within weeks time. For this purpose, the funds would be provided under Tourism Development scheme, he added.
The Minister today visited different hamlets of lower Leh city including Skyanos-Gogsum, Stagophelog, Skampari A, Skampari B, Manetseding, Nemoling, Lower Metsekchulung, Disketsal, Murtsey Colony, Norgyasling to assess the peoples problems.
At Skyanos-Gogsum, the people demanded for immediate construction of internal roads, footpaths, improvement of drainage system, regular removal of garbage, availability of adequate drinking water and development of community centre.
Jora announced Rs. five lakhs for development of park and also announced to provide Rs. 1.50 lakh for constructing the Community Hall.
During his visit to Ibex colony, the Minister announced Rs two lakhs each for Ibex Colony and Skalzangling for construction of urgent nature of works
