| Fortnight long Hindi Diwas celebrations begins | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Sept 14- As a part of celebrations of Hindi Diwas fortnight Gautam Sen IDAS, Principal Controller of Defence Accounts, Northern Command, Jammu inaugurated a function here today. K.C. Dubey, former Director, Doordarshan Jammu was Chief Guest at the function while Ram Ram Ratan Sharma, General Secretary, Vichar Kranti Manch International, Jammu was a special invitee.
In his address Gautam Sen, the Chairperson, said that though our office is located in J&K where Dogri, Kashmiri and Ladakhi languages are spoken prominently but still Hindi is performing as a true link language for people who have come from different parts of India. He also emphasized upon all to do most of their official work in Hindi so that an ultimate goal of promoting Hindi as our office language is achieved.
During the fortnight celebrations various competitions such as Hindi Essay Writing, Hindi Poem Recitation, Hindi Speech and Hindi Noting and Drafting is being organized for staff and officers. Suitable cash prizes are also being distributed among the First, Second and Third rank winners of these competitions.
