Jammu, Sept 14: Days after some women doctors at Gandhi Nagar hospital level allegations of indecent advances against the Medical Superintendent, vehemently denied by him, the latter was today removed from hospital and attached with Directorate of Health Services following an inquiry personally supervised by Health Minister Sham Lal Sharma.
The decision was taken after Health Minister Sham Lal Sharma oversaw a two-day argument between the lady doctors and the accused Medical Superintendent. Director Health Services Jammu Dr Jasbeer Singh confirmed to Early Times that Medical Superintendent of Gandhi Nagar hospital Dr Vinod Gupta has been removed and charge of the post has been temporarily given to Dr Iftikhar Shapu, the new Deputy Director of Health Services.
