| Team from Sweden educationists visits Taawish College | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Sep 15: Four reverend dignitaries of Department of Education, Jammu University paid a special visit to Taawish College of Education for interaction with the faculty, student-teachers and the management .Team comprised of Prof. P. Henrick Lundberg, Prof. Gouran Lassbo, Prof. Sidnild Risenfors and Prof. Anneli Martin. Department of Education had the opportunity of interacting with the team with their rich, varied and valuable experience. Taawish College of Education was chosen as the first college for their visit. The main purpose of the team was to apprise the college to impart effective teaching in the class-rooms. Team from Sweden, visited the entire campus and interacted with the students in Science & Computer Labs. They also viewed the teaching aids being prepared by the students for their use in the class-rooms. They appreciated the efforts of the students in preparing the teaching aids manually. The team first, understood the system and thereafter, presented many valuable ideas for bringing improvement in the teaching learning process in the college. Prof. Lokesh Verma, member of the committee of the college, apprised that it would be a continuous process of such visits. He also appreciated the mission of Pooja Malhotra, the Chairperson of T. S. Group of Educational Institutions. He said that it is by Pooja Malhotra's mission and vision that she is running educational institutions, where every body stands benefited. He further apprised that Taawish College has the best infrastructure available for the training of the students. The impressive function started with the traditional lightening of the lamp, followed by welcome speech by Dr. Raj Kumar, Principal, college-report and vote of thanks by Aditya Malhotra, M.D, T. S. Group of Institutions. The unveiling of the fifth issue of the college magazine was also done. Tree plantation drive was also organized. The esteemed guests who attended the function were Prof. Lokesh Verma, Prof N.R Sharma, Prof. J.S.Walia & Dr. Renu Nanda.
