Jammu, Sep 15: Under the supervision of Dy. Commissioner Commercial Taxes (Vig. Insp) Shamsher Bahadur surprise inspections of commercial vehicles in and around Jammu and National Highway at District Kathua, Samba was conducted by a team of vigilance and inspection wing of department, comprising of commercial taxes officer Sat Pal Singh Jamwal and subordinate staff. The team seized the vehicles carrying timber, goods, fire crackers etc. The vehicles were put to physical check and penalty to the tune of Rs. 2,14,321.00 was levied and recovered on spot from dealers under section 67 (5) of J&K VAT Act 2005.
