| FFA pays tributes to martyrs by performing ‘Sharada’ | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Sep 16- Freedom Fighters Association (FFA), engaged in remembering various freedom fighters who laid their precious lives to attain independence, organized a function to pay tributes to them by performing ‘Sharda’. On this occasion the Association organized a function at Bal- Niketan, where prasad was distributed among the children and speeches were made by several dignitaries to remember the martyrs and their sacrifice for mother land. Those leaders who actively took part in world war-I (1857) and laid down their lives were in main focus of the function. Remembering the martyrs Amit Langeh, who was the Chief Guest, said the contribution of martyrs enabled new generation to live independently and democratically. President Ved Gandotra in his address advised the students to seek education with acute interest for accruing knowledge and not for getting a government job. He suggested that sound minds only could recognize the sacrifice made by martyrs and keep the spirit spreading in future for the integration of the country. Patron Sumit Singh, Senior Vice President T. R Dogra, Vice President Amit Sagar, General Secretary M. R Bangotra, Cashier Akbar Ali and other leaders also addressed on the occasion.
