| Doda students hold protest demonstration over non availability of bus service | | | Early Times Report
Doda, Sept 16- Thousands of students of Government Higher Secondary School Boys and Girls Doda city today organized a massive protest demonstration against the traffic police and ARTO Doda for not providing matador facilities to students from Pul Doda to their respective institution in Doda city.
The students on seeing no matador available at Pul Doda held protest demonstration and shouted anti-government slogans and blocked main road to Doda city near Doda Bridge for one and half hour .Protesting students were demanding matador service for Doda city and on Bhaderwah roads. They allege that private matador owners always charge extra fare from local people and especially from the students and regretted the silence of the administration towards this burning issue.
However, on the assurance of Additional Deputy Commissioner the protesting students called off the demonstration and dispersed peacefully.
In the meantime the BJP unit of Bhaderwah organized a protest demonstration in the premises of historical Sari Bazaar,Bhaderwah under the chairmanship of its senior district Vice President Raj Singh Kotwal to press the government for opening Central University at Jammu and warned to intensify the agitation if this demand was not met at the earliest. Koshal Dogra,Koshal Kotwal ,Satish Kotwal and Desh Raj Katwal also poke on the occasion and later submitted a memorandum to the SDM in this regard.
