| BJP: No compromise on CU in Jammu | | | Early Times Report Jammu Sept 16 To take stock of the progress made so far in party’s ongoing Membership Drive launched in the state about two months ago, BJP State President Ashok Khajuria today chaired the meeting of State office Bearers, District Presidents and Membership Incharges for different districts. During the meeting State party chief Ashok Khajuria reiterated that his party’s unstinted support to the Central University Andolan Samiti (CUAS) for the cause of Jammu and asked the party activists to take active part in CUAS’s protest programmes in their respective areas. He said the BJP has always stood for the cause of the Jammu and Jammuites adding that setting up of Central University in Jammu is on top in our agenda and we will not compromise on the issue. He appealed to the ministers hailing from Jammu to break their silence on this issue which has great importance for the youth of the Jammu. During the meeting the party leaders, during the meeting gave details of enrolment of new members in their respective areas. Earlier he appreciated the efforts of the party activists to make the membership drive successful and added such an activity is indicator of healthy democracy within the party as it gives a chance to the people to embrace membership of the party as also to the party activists to get elected on various positions on merit and dedicated work. He asked the members in the meeting to complete the membership drive as per the guidelines and stick to the time table framed by the party’s High Command. Th. Uttam Singh, Prof. Sain Dass, Dina Nath Bhagat, Vaid Mankotia, Pawan Khajuria, Chaman Lal Kanathia, Sunil sharma, Inderjit Sharma, Jaideep Sharma, Narinder Kumar, Shashi Pal vaid, Basant Raj and other attended this meeting.
