| Chib Chairs Academy Hindi Diwas Celebration | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, SEPTEMBER 17 – Jammu and Kashmir Academy of Art, Culture and Languages organized one day Hindi seminar in connection with Hindi Diwas being celebrated all over India at K. L. Saigal Hall today. Minister for Medical & Technical Education and Youth Services and Sports, Mr. R. S. Chib was the chief guest while Prof. Om Parkash Gupt, renowned Hindi Poet, scholar and former Head of the Department, P. G. Department of Hindi, University of Jammu presided over.
While speaking on the occasion, Mr. Chib congratulated the scholars, writers community and Jammuites on Hindi Diwas and said that India is known for its unity in diversity and Hindi as national language played an important role to unite the whole country. He further said that we should be proud to be Indian instead of our regional and cultural differences. He complimented the Cultural Academy for organizing one day Hindi seminar on the eve of Hindi Diwas. He also hoped that in the present times of globalization such, type of literary interactions will succeed to unite writers in particular and common masses in general with our tradition and culture and will also strengthen inter-lingual and inter-regional relations. While delivering his presidential address, Dr. Om Parkash Gupta, former Professor and Head, Deptt of Hindi, University of Jammu said that Hindi as national language is contributing a lot in building up the national integration a communal harmony in the country.
Professor in Sanskrit, Dr. Bharat Bhusan Sharma and Additional Secretary JKAACL also spoke on the occasion and threw light on the importance of Hindi Diwas. A large number of prominent citizens, writers, poets, intellectual and professors of university of Jammu attended the program.
