EARLY TIMES REPORT Jammu, Sept 17- The series of ‘Ghumayee’ play written and directed by Balwant Thakur concluded here today at Abhinav Theatre, Jammu with the staging of the last show. Dr. Pawan Kotwal. Divisional Commissioner, Jammu was the Chief Guest on the occasion whereas K.C. Sharma, Joint Executive President, Chenab Textile Mills presided over the function. Today’s show sponsored by Chenab Textile Mills. Kathua was witnessed by the jam-packed audience. Natrang started the current series of the shows on September, 9 and till date performed 12 shows including morning and evening shows which were meant for children and general public respectively. Natrang team is leaving tomorrow for Russia, Germany, Hungary and Poland to participate six International Theatre Festivals and Jammu shows were organized with the motive to let the people of Jammu witness International class theatre available at their next door. In addition to the spectacular, electrifying performance of the play, today’s program included honoring of the artists by the Divisional Commissioner. The artists who received the appreciation award on behalf of Natrang included, Suresh Kumar, Anil Tickoo, Vikrant Sharma, Sunit Kumar, Tajasvi Sharma, Renu Sharma, Sona Mehar, Pankaj Sharma, Sat Salarbi, Sumeet Sharma, Mohit Sharma, Pawan Verma, Rohit Verma, Suraj Singh, Gaurav Jamwal, Rahul Singh, Pankush Verma, Romilla Besnet, Jagpal Singh, Mohammed Yaseen, Jai Ram Sharma and Lokesh Chander. For the outstanding contribution to Natrang in allied services a senior most member of Natrang, Vijay Sharma was also honored for his selfless services. Speaking on the occasion, Divisional Commissioner appreciated the Natrang team for bringing global recognition to Jammu and Kashmir State in the field of Art and Culture.
