| BJP voices concern over misuse of public exchequer | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT Jammu, Sept 17-Expressing his concern over misuse of public exchequer by the ministers and bureaucrats, BJP spokesperson Romesh Arora has questioned the justification of a paid advertisement carried by the local newspapers here today depicting photograph of a minister. Arora said while the government does not have sufficient resources even to release regular pay of its employees, on the other hand it was spending lavishly on Ministers and their personal publicity. He said when 37.2 percent of population is living below the poverty line, how could the ministers and bureaucrats afford to lead luxury life in such a situation? He said the newspapers have published an appeal about OPD visiting timings and 30 per cent of the space has been covered with the photograph of a minister. He alleged that the ministers were misusing the public money for their personal publicity. In a statement Arora said government has denied arrears on account of 6th pay commission to its employees due to paucity of funds but on the other hand the Ministers were incurring maximum expenditure on unwanted and unethical life style.
