In an impressive function organized here today, all the artistes were felicitated by the senior members of ATG for their rare achievement. The artists who acted in the film include Mushtaq Kak, Irfan Choudhary, Mohit Singh Chib, Ranjan Saini, Happy Gupta, Aditya Jamwal, Sumit, Anil Kotwal and Fareed Iqbal. All of them are active members of ATG. Except for Mushtaq Kak, who is a well known actor/director and has already acted in a number of films before, it was a first time experience for all the other artists. All the actors are basically theatre artists who have acted in a number of national and state level theatre productions of ATG. Majority of these artistes started their journey in the field of media with Mushtaq Kak, when he conducted a theatre workshop in Jammu in collaboration with National School of Drama, New Delhi and J&K Academy for Art, Culture & Languages some two years back. The artists include a few senior artists like Irfan, who is associated with theatre since nine years and has worked with many other eminent theatre directors. All the artists owe this achievement to the able guidance of their director, Mushtaq Kak and are willing to pursue their carrier in the same field as this is a golden entry for all of them to the film industry for which many persons have to wait and struggle for their whole lives. It is pertinent to mention here that Mushtaq Kak, after serving as Director of Sri Ram Centre for Performing Arts, New Delhi for nine continuous years, is back in Jammu, his home town, in order to help and encourage fresh talent of the State to reach their respective goals in the field of theatre and electronic media and films.
