9/18/2009 10:39:19 PM
Agencies
New Delhi: Amid border tension following firing from the Pakistani side, a flag meeting was held Friday between the border guarding forces of the two countries to review the situation.
Officials of BSF and Pakistan Rangers held the flag meeting at Nikwol border outpost in Jammu and Kashmir's Khour belt to discuss the firing incidents last night and this morning.
Two BSF jawans were injured in the firing last night while Indian forward posts came under fresh fire from across the border on Pargwal border in Jammu this morning.
The Pakistani officials, however, denied involvement of their men in the incidents, BSF sources said. They also denied presence of militant camps inside Pakistani territory.
The BSF has increased surveillance along the border after these incidents and asked its personnel to take all precautions while patrolling.
