Siraj Bag to be developed as Asia's biggest flower garden:Azad

Srinagar, September 30: Chief Minister Gh Nabi Azad here on Saturday said that Siraj Bag would be developed as Asia's biggest flower garden where species of local, national and international flowers would be planted. During his extensive vist to Siraj Bagh and adjoining nursery spread over a vast area of 2000 kanalas of land, Azad was briefed about the progress of work made during last one year in development of Siraj Bagh which was opened for general public in April this year.
The Chief Minister was told that flower garden spread over 2000 kanalas would be developed to the extent of Rs2000 crores value. Chief Minister instructed the officials of floriculture department to complete the work under double shift program in next two years.
