| Govt asked to put city roads in order | | | Early Times Report Jammu Sept 19 Shri Sanatan Dharam Natak Samaj (SSDNS) has urged upon the government to direct the NBCC, ERA, UEED and PWD to complete the whole operations of laying of pipes and black topping of roads in the Jammu city at the earliest in view of the coming festivals. This was stated by Shri Sanatan Dharam Natak Samaj Chairman Yudhvir Sethi while addressing media persons here today. Yudhvir Sethi said that the holy Id is approaching nearer and navratras are to start, which will be followed by Dussehra and Diwali and there will be more movement of the people of the city but the dilapidated condition of roads may create hurdles and result in traffic snarls. He said we welcome the move of the government to develop the city but there shouyd be a regular check and the agencies concerned should be asked to take up the works in such a manner that the general public is not made to suffer. Yudhvir Sethi also criticized the ministers and bureaucrats, who are declaring that the roads will be in proper condition before Darbar Move which itself reveals that they are bothered for their comfort not for the masses. Natak samaj President Sat Samotra, Gen Secretary Sat Sharma and Secretary Ramnik Gupta, who also spoke on this occasion pin pointed that Shobha yatra before Dussehra has to pass from different bazaars of the city and asked the government to ensure the roads in good condition. They also invited the Jammuites to visit Dewan Mandir to be audience of the historical Ram Lila.
