| 47 judges transferred in major judicial shake up | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Sept 19- In a major reshuffle Jammu and Kashmir High Court today ordered transfers and postings of 47 Judges of Subordinate judiciary.
This is for the first time that transfer orders were approved and issued without holding full court meeting of High Court judges. It was also the first such major reshuffle after Justice Barin Gosh took as a Chief Justice of Jammu and Kashmir High court, the official sources said.
As per order No 576 Shiv Kumar Jamwal, president Divisional Consumer Forum, Jammu, on repatriation from deputation has been posted as District Judge, Leave reserve post, High Court of Jammu and Kashmir Jammu against an available post.
Nazim-ud-Din Wani, Principal District and Sessions Judge, Bandipora, has been transferred and posted on deputation as Judicial Member, J&K Sales Tax vice Mohammed Akram Choudhary.
Rashid Ahmad Lone, Principal District and Sessions Judge, Ganderbal, has been transferred and posted as District and Sessions Judge, Srinagar, vice Mohammed Shafi Khan.
Brij Mohan Gupta, Registrar Vigilance has been transferred and posted as Principal District and Sessions Judge, Poonch vice Gopi Krishan Pandita. Abdul Rashid Bhat II, Additional District and Sessions Judge Baramulla, has been transferred and posted as Principal District and sessions Judge Kargil vice Kishore Kumar.
Gopi Krishan Pandita, Principal District and Sessions Judge, Poonch has been transferred and posted as Principal District and Sessions Judge Kishtwar vice Duni Chand Sagotra.
Ashok Kumar Sharma, Additional District Judge (Matrimonial cases) Jammu, has been transferred and posted as Principal District and Sessions Judge, Leh, vice Sanjeev Kumar Bhagat.
Mohammed Shafi Khan, Additional District and Sessions Judge, Srinagar, has been transferred and posted as Principal District and Sessions Judge Ganderbal vice Rashid Ahmad Lone. Ashok Kumar Koul Principal District and Sessions Judge, Reasi has been transferred and his services have been placed at the disposal of Chief Justice for posting him as Registrar Vigilance, J&K High Court vice Brij Mohan Gupta.
Duni Chand Sagotra, Principal District and Sessions Judge Kishtwar has been transferred and posted as Additional Sessions Judge, Anti-Corruption, Jammu, vice Sanjeev Gupta.
Mohammed Yousuf Akhoon, 3rd Additional District and sessions Judge, Srinagar has been transferred and posted as Additional District and Sessions Judge Baramulla vice Abdul Rashid Bhat II.
