Jammu, Sept 19: The Governor, NN Vohra, visited Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine today on the commencement of the Navratras and performed Pratham darshan at the Sanctum Sanctorum.
The Governor, while paying obeisance at the holy Cave Shrine, prayed for communal harmony, brotherhood, peace, progress and prosperity in the State. He also participated in the Chhat Chandi Maha Yagya, which commenced at Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine from today.
The Governor, enroute Sanjichhat to the Holy Cave and at the Bhavan, interacted with the Yatris and enquired about the facilities made available for the smooth conduct of the pilgrimage. They were all praise for the arrangements made by the Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board (SMVDSB) for the Yatra.
