| Sprawling Buds School celebrates Eid | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Sept 20: On the eve of Eid-ul-Fitr, Sprawling Buds School held a colourful function involving young students in different cultural activities and those seniors delivered massages of love and peace on the holy day at the school premises Chinore in Bantalab, near here. The school management made a sincere attempt to make the young students aware of the religious values and cultures of other religions so as to develop in them a sense of secularism. Clad in colourful dresses to give it a festive look, the students gave an eye-catching performance on the famous song `Chand Sifarish’. It was followed by speeches delivered by senior students on festival of Eid. Thereafter, students staged a play showing the unity of different religions irrespective of different customs and traditions. Students beautifully gave the message through the play that we all belong to the same religion i.e. humanity. Later, Director of the school, Arti Sharma briefed the students about the importance of the festival of Eid. She laid stress on giving due respect to all the religions by celebrating the festival together. The play on unity of different religions was highly appreciated by the chief guest, retired Counsel General of India in UK, N P Sharma. Sharma said that such message giving functions certainly help in building brotherhood among the younger generations, which was need of the hour. Prominent among others present were general secretary, Tawi Trekkers, J&K, Ram Khajuria, Principal of the School, Puja Sharma, Rahul Sharma and Ramesh Khajuria, Directors of the School.
