Guv, CM, Speaker, Council of Ministers greet people on Eid-ul-Fitr

Srinagar, Sept 20- The Governor, Chief Minister, Speaker, Council of Ministers and several other leaders have extended warm greetings to the people of Jammu and Kashmir on the happy and auspicious occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr.
In a message of felicitations, the Governor N N Vohra wished the people peace, progress, prosperity and happiness and hoped that this joyous occasion would be a harbinger of communal harmony, brotherhood, amity and tranquility, which are the hallmark of J&K’s glorious pluralistic traditions.
Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah in his felicitation message described the day as an occasion of expressing highest degree of thanking to Almighty Allah for providing opportunity of praying and fasting to seek His forgiveness and blessings.
Omar said that Eid-ul-Fitr is also the day of sharing happiness and joy with the needy and poor and provide them avenues for celebrating Eid joyfully.
While conveying his greetings, Chief Minister prayed for the peace and prosperity of the State and wished the day to be harbinger of all round development and welfare for the people.
Speaker, Jammu and Kashmir, Legislative Assembly, Mohammad Akbar Lone in his greeting message has hoped that the day will bring added joy and happiness in the lives of millions of people across the globe particularly those of Jammu and Kashmir.
Lone prayed that THE day will usher in a new era of progress, prosperity and Khushali in the state.
Deputy Chief Minister, Tara Chand in his felicitation message said that the festival of Eid-ul-Fitr marks the culmination of holy month of Ramzan which highlights the values of self-reliant, tolerance and patience. He prayed for peace, prosperity and tranquility in the state. He hoped that the festival will herald an era of joy and happiness in every home.
The council of ministers in a joint felicitation message has expressed hope that the auspicious occasion would be harbinger of peace and prosperity for the people of the state.
The Ministers include Minister for Finance, Abdul Rahim Rather, Minister for Rural Development Department, Ali Mohammed Sagar, Minister for School Education, Peerzada Mohammed Sayeed, Minister for CA&PD Qamar Ali Akhoon, Minister for PHE Taj Mohi-ud-din, Minister for Industries & Commerce, Surjit Singh Slathia, Minister for Tourism, Nawang Rigzin Jora, Minister for Health, Sham Lal Sharma, Minister for Sports R. S. Chib, Minister for Higher Education, A. G. Malik , Minister for Social Welfare, Sakina Ittoo, Minister for Forest, Mian Altaf Ahmed, Minister for Agriculture, Ghulam Hassan Mir, Minister for Revenue, Raman Bhalla, Minister for R&B G. M. Saroori, Minister for Animal Husbandry, Aga Syed Ruhulla Mehdi,
MoS for Cooperative Dr. Manohar Lal Sharma, MoS for Hajj Aijaz Ahmad Khan, MoS Forests Shabir Ahmad Khan, MoS for Housing Nasir Aslam Wani and MoS for R&B Javid Ahmad Dar.
State Secretary, CPI (M) Mohammad Yousuf Tarigami in his greeting message has prayed for peace, progress and prosperity of the state. He expressed hope that the holy day will prove harbinger of peace, harmony and development of Jammu and Kumar and its people.
Advisor to Chief Minister Mubarak Gul in his felicitation message has wished a very happy and peaceful Eid to the people and prayed that this day will herald an era of peace, prosperity and tranquility for the people of the state.
In his felicitation message, Political Advisor to Chief Minister, Devinder Singh Rana also extended Eid greetings to the people of the state.
Director General of Police, Kuldeep Khoda in his felicitation message hoped that the festival would be herald of peace, tranquility and prosperity for the state.
