| HC directs PSC to allow over-age petitioner to participate in interview | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Sept 21-The Jammu and Kashmir High Court has directed the Public Service Commission to allow the petitioner to participate in the selection process including interview on his own risk and responsibility making it clear that it would no confer any equitable tilt in his favour. This direction was passed by Justice Virender Singh in a petition filed by 41 year old petitioner seeking direction to PSC to allow him to participate in the selection process of lecturers. The petitioner in his petition filed through Advocate Surinder Kour submitted that the on the basis of an advertisement issued by PSC, the petitioner having qualification of MA in English and M Phil in English applied for the post of lecturer and pleaded for relaxation of age as he had worked as lecturer on contractual basis from 1997 to November 2003 The Counsel for the petitioner during arguments pleaded that the petitioner be allowed to participate in the interview being conducted from September 29, 2009.
