| BJP pays tributes to Maharaja Hari Singh | | | Early times Report Jammu, Sept 22- BJP state Spokesperson Ramesh Arora said it is time to refresh our memories and learn from the history of Maharaja Hari Singh who ruled the state till October 26, 1947. He was speaking at a function organized to pay tributes to the state ruler on his 116th birth anniversary here today. He said the best tributes to late Maharaja would be to implement the resolution passed by the Parliament in 1994 during the government headed by Prime Minister Narsimha Rao pledging to take back the area under illegal occupation of Pakistan. Arora threw light on the history of Jammu and Kashmir and the role of Maharaja Hari Singh in consolidating the state and finally state’s accession with India in 1947.
