9/22/2009 10:48:37 PM
Early Times Report
Jammu,, Sept 22- Yashpal Manhas, district president Jammu Congress Sewa Dal has cautioned the State administration against taking the people of the state for granted for their acts of omissions and commissions.
Addressing media persons here today Manhas, while directly referring to the murder of Amandeep Singh and thereafter fudging of the seized weapon, has expressed grave concern that one hand state is facing threat from militancy/ fidayeen and on the other hand general public is loosing faith in the administration and police. He welcomed the steps taken by Government under dynamic transparent and responsive Chief Minister Omar Abdullah in suspending Police officials and initiating enquiry against them by SIT.
While drawing a parallel in Chopra and Shopian murder cases, Manhas said in these two cases police bungled and played mischief initially which resulted in complete failure in nailing the accused till date while precious time, energy and public money has gone down the drain.
