| Army jawan killed in gunfight | | | Early Times Report
Srinagar: An Army jawan was killed and two others injured in a gunfight with militants in Baramulla district of North Kashmir on Tuesday.
The encounter took place when a search party of 32 Rashtriya Rifles confronted a group of militants hiding in the forest area of Ladoo in Panzla, 65 kms from here, in the wee hours, officials said.The militants fired at the troops, who retaliated.The ultras managed to flee from the spot after a brief exchange of fire, they said.Three jawans were injured in the gunfight and rushed to a hospital, where one of them succumbed to his injuries.
