| Fog disrupts chopper service at Katra | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Sep 22 : Dense fog at Trikuta Hills disrupted the helicopter service for the fourth consecutive day as it could not take off from the Katra base camp in Reasi district of Jammu and Kashmir, official sources here today said.
''The helicopter service could not resume due to the foggy climate in Trikuta Hills and thus it forced us to suspend it this morning too for the fourth consecutive day,'' official sources told adding that it would not be possible for the chopper to land in such conditions.
Meanwhile, many old aged and infirm pilgrims, who had their bookings for the helicopter service, reached Bhawan with the help of porters (pithus) and ponywallas.
Katra town is witnessing heavy rush of pilgrims due to the ongoing navratra festival. Over one lakh pilgrims from across the country, have so far paid obeisance at the holy shrine.
