| Cabinet decide's | | Promotions, postings of engineers, officers | | Srinagar, September 30 – Cabinet which met here today under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Mr. Ghulam Nabi Azad accorded sanction to the placement of following Superintending Engineers of R&B Department as In-charge Chief Engineers in their own pay and grade against the available vacancies. Mr. Iftikhar Ahmad, Mr. Nazir Ahmad Shah and Mir Shafi Ahmad. Consequent upon the above, the following postings of In-charge Chief Engineers are approved: 1. Mr. Iftikhar Ahmad, In-charge Chief Engineer posted as Managing Director, J&K Housing Board; 2. Mr. Nazir Ahmad Shah, In-charge Chief Engineer posted as Chief Engineer, R&B, Kashmir; and 3. Mir Shafi Ahmad, In-charge Chief Engineer has been posted as JDC (Works)/ex-officio Chief Engineer, Mughal Road Projec. Cabinet also accorded sanction to the placement of Dr. Suresh Chander Gupta and Dr. Surinder Prakash Sharma, Joint Directors Animal Husbandry Department as Director Animal Husbandry Department Jammu and Kashmir respectively in their own pay and grade. In another decision Cabinet gave approval to the following: 1. Confirmation of the appointment of Mr. Showkat Rashid Wani as Development Commissioner (Power) and the conferment of the pay scale attached to the post (Rs. 16400-20000) from the date he assumed charge of the post; 2. Revival of the post of Executive Director, J&K State Power Development Corporation in the pay scale of Rs. 16400-20000 and placement of Mr. V. K. Malhotra, Chief Engineer (Planning and Design Wing) as In-charge Executive Director, J&K State Power Development Corporation; 3. Transfer of Mr. Masood Ahmad Dar, In-charge Chief Engineer (System and Operations) Jammu and his posting as In-charge Chief Engineer, Generation (PDC) vice Mr. R. K. Seli; 4. Transfer of Mr. R. K. Seli In-charge Chief Engineer, Generation, (PDC) and his posting as Chief Engineer (System and Operations) Jammu vice Mr. Masood Ahmad Dar; 5. Placement of Mr. Shamsher Singh, In-charge Superintending Engineer (S&O Circle-I) as In-charge Chief Engineer (Planning and Design) in his own pay and grade vice Mr. V. K. Malhotra; and 6. Placement of Mr. Dharam Vir, In-charge Superintending Engineer (Inspection-Circle) as In-charge Chief Engineer (Procurement and MM) in his own pay and grade, relieving Mr. V. K. Malhotra of the additional charge of the post. Cabinet also approved promotion of Mr. T. Angchok, Joint Director Fisheries, as Director Fisheries in the pay scale of Rs. 14300-18300 with effect from 01.10.2006
*** Cotractual JEs regularised Srinagar, September 30 (INFO) – Cabinet which met here today under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Mr. Ghulam Nabi Azad decided to appoint all remaining Junior Engineers selected by the District Level Committees on contractual basis and their orders of appointments will be issued within a week’s time. The Cabinet noted with satisfaction that 976 Junior Engineers in various engineering departments have been appointed on contractual basis as per the decision taken in the Cabinet meeting on 24-06- 2006. ****** Procurement rate of C-Grade Apple, Sandy Pears enhanced Srinagar, September 30 (INFO) – Cabinet which met here today under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Mr. Ghulam Nabi Azad has accorded sanction to the modification of Market Intervention Scheme (MIS) for the year 2006-07, to the extent of enhancement of procurement rate from Rs. 4 to Rs. 5 per kg in case of C-Grade apples and Sandy Pears under MIS for the year 2006-07. **** Approval to renaming degree colleges Srinagar, September 30 (INFO) – Cabinet which met here today under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Mr. Ghulam Nabi Azad accorded sanction to the renaming of Government Degree College Budgam as Sheikh-ul-Aalam Memorial Degree College, Government Degree College Reasi as General Zorawar Singh Memorial Degree College, Government Degree College Leh as Eliezer Jolden Memorial College, Government Degree College Hiranagar as Girdhari Lal Dogra Memorial Degree College and Government Degree College Bandipore as Hassan Khoyihami Memorial Degree College.
