| NC names new office bearers | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Sept 23- National Conference has started gearing up its party machinery at the ground level to prepare its cadre and supporters ahead of Panchayat elections in the state. Though no formal schedule has been fixed for the conduct of the much delayed Panchayat polls in the state but it appears that political parties have started gearing up their party machinery with an eye on the Panchayat elections. On Wednesday Political Advisor to National Conference chief Dr Farooq Abdullah, Mohammed Aslam Goni in presence of Jammu provincial president Rattan Lal Gupta announced constitution of provincial committee of Jammu province. He announced names of 30 new office bearers. According to Goni, the party chief decided to constitute the provincial committee of the party in Jammu province on the recommendation of the provincial president Rattan Lal Gupta. According to him eight new vice presidents, 10 secretaries, 11 joint secretaries and one cashier has been announced in addition to one media advisor. Interacting with media persons, Goni said after comprehensive deliberations the party leadership decided to constitute the provincial committee to help common people take maximum advantage of the policies of the state government and improve level of interaction with the common people. He said the members of the provincial committee would support block and district presidents and strengthen the party network.. The new members who have been nominated as vice president are Brij Mohan Sharma for Kishtwar, Ch Liaqat Ali for Rajouri, Haji Mohd Hussain for Jammu rural (A) Organisation, Aulla Shaheen for Ramban, Ayub Malik for Jammu Urban, Mohinder Pyasa for Poonch, Master Noor Hussain for Samba, Ch Haroon for Jammu Urban. Those who have been nominated as secretary are Ghulam Hyder Malik for Billawar, Basohli, Qazi Jalal Din for Kishtwar, Kamal Arora for Jammu Rural II (Organisation), Ch Arshad for Jammu Rural A (Organisation), Ch Mohd Shafi for Udhampur and Mohd Aslam Khan for Rajouri.
