| CEBC interacts with Chief Secretary | | | Early Times Report Srinagar September 24: The Commission for Economically Backward Classes, Government of India today deliberated in detail on issues related for uplift of weaker sections of the society with the State Administration, headed by Chief Secretary, Mr. S.S Kapoor. The Central Commission was led by Chairman of the commission Maj. Gen ( Retd) S.R Sinho. Among others the meeting was attended by Commissioner Secretary, Housing Dr. Abdul Hamid, Commissioner Secretary Health, Mr. Atul Duloo, Secretary, Social Welfare Department, Mr. Mohammad Syed Khan, Secretary, School Education Department, Mr. G.A Peer, Commissioner Backward Classes Commission, Mr. K.K Kitchloo, Special Secretary Social Welfare Mr. Ravinder, Director Social Welfare, Mr. Hilal Ahmad Parey and from the Commission side Member Secretary of Commission, Mr. Mahinder Singh, Joint Secretary, Mr. A.K. Srivastava, Sr. Research Officer, Mr. L.M. Darlikar, and Consultant Mr. M.P Aggrawal. The reservation policy was discussed threadbare and the issues and views of the State government were deliberated. Chief Secretary assured the Commission that the issue will be examined in its right perspective taking into consideration the regional and geographically conditions of the State. Chief Secretary at the outset briefed the commission about the Special Categories/reservations of the State. Chairman commission desired that a comprehensive note from the Government of J&K about the matter should be made available to the Commission as soon as possible.
