| TCDS alleges misappropriation of development funds | | | Early Times Report
Jammu,, Sept 24 - Tribal Care and Development Society (TCDS), J&K took state administration to task for misusing and misappropriating funds under different development schemes undertaken by the Government..
Addressing media persons here today, Idris Ahmed Tabbasum, chairman of the society, alleged that funds allotted under different components are not being utilized properly. He stressed the need for proper monitoring by a special squad so that funds are used for the schemes for which these have been allotted.
Tabbasum informed that at least 50 centres of tailoring and cutting are running in different tehsils and district headquarters of Poonch district but it is unfortunate that state government has not provided any benefit to the students being imparted the training course. He also alleged harassment by the authorities to tribal community members.
