Jammu, Sep 25 : An alert woman today displayed a heroic act and caught two fraud goldsmiths red handed while they were cleaning her ornaments by mixing a chemical in bordering village of tehsil Vijapur of Samba district.
‘’Two goldsmiths on finding a woman identified as Kanta Devi, wife of Baldev Singh Bagal, alone at home in village Raya Sajani, asked her to bring her ornaments assuring her of more shine after cleaning,’’ sources told.
The woman, however, gave her golden ring but found something suspicious on which she raised an alarm.‘’Hearing screams, people nearby, reached the spot and caught the goldsmiths playing fraud in the name of cleaning ornaments by mixing chemicals,’’ they said, adding that the village thrashed them and later handed them over to the police.
The accused were identified as Mukesh Kumar and Gautam Kumar, both residents of district Kathiyar, Bihar.
