| Inderjeet Khajuria to contest CCI elections | | | Early Times Report
Jammu Sept 25- Jammu Prayatan Vikas Mandal in a meeting held under the Chairmanship of Ravi Mahajan unanimously resolved to field Inderjeet Khajuria, President All Jammu Hotels and Lodges Association in the ensuing elections to the Chamber of Commerce and Industry for which elections are being held on October 28. The meeting, among others, was attended by Kuldeep Wahi President JPVM, HS Anand President Hotel Bar and Restaurant Association, Baldev Khullar President Raghunath Bazar Businessmen Association, Ashiq Hussain President United Hotels and Restaurants Union, Ashok Gupta President Below Gumat Traders Association, Madhu Sharma President Shopkeepers Association General Bus Stand , H S Gosain General Secretary Tourist Travel Agent, Mangal Verma President Jammu Wine Merchants Association, Krishan Lal Gupta Chairman Rajinder Bazaar Traders Welfare Association, Devinder Choudhary President Tourist Taxi Operators Union Railway Station, Rajesh Dewan President Lower Hari Market, Rajesh Raina President Hari Market Traders.
The meeting was of the view that Jammu Chamber of Commerce has always been highlighting the problems of tourist related traders and tourism industry in J&K. The tourism industry forms the essential part of business and commerce in the region. Hence there was need for some representatives of the tourism related trades to be got elected to some important posts in the Jammu Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
A five member committee was constituted to decide the posts for which these two representatives of the tourism related trades will be fielded as candidates by the JPVM, in the elections for office bearers of CCI Jammu.
