Early Times Report Jammu, Sept 25- In a meeting chaired by State President Ashok Khajuria, BJP State Office Bearers and other prominent activists remembered Pt. Deen Dayal Upadhaya on 93rd birthday. Speaking on the occasion, Khajuria said Pt Upadhaya was an institution himself and his life should serve as a source of inspiration for the present and the coming generations. By the dint of his hard work, commitment and dedication, he was elected as National General Secretary of Bharatiya Jana Sangh in 1951 and later its President in 1967. The late Upadhyaya is still remembered for his idea of Integral Humanism (Ekatam Manavwaad)-the concept which is deeply embedded in Indian Psyche. He said Pt. Upadhyaya also propagated that culture of India is holistic and its integrated viewpoint 'Unity is Diversity' is the cornerstone of Indian culture. These views of Pt. Upadhyaya continue to be relevant under the present socio economic and political atmosphere in the country. On this occasion the party president and other leaders pledged to take his ideology to the masses and educate them about the Ekatam Manavwaad. Th. Ranjit Singh, Satish Sharma, C.P. Ganga, Suresh Jamwal, Dr. Nirmal Kamal, Rajesh Gupta, Chanderkanta Sharma, Shamsher Singh Manhas, Bali Bhagat, Sat Sharma, Ramesh Arora, Vishwinder Dev Sharma, Yudhvir Sethi,Balbir Ram, Parmod Kapahi, Shiv Kumar Gupta, J.R. Gupta, Ch. Sukhnandan, N.D. Rajwal, Bansi Lal Bharti, Sakina Bano, Mamta Singh, Rajesh Gupta, Col. Uttam Singh and Chander Mohan Gupta were prominent among those present in the meeting.
