| Ousted employees of SKUAST threaten self-immolation | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Sept 25: The ongoing agitation of disengaged contractual contract labourers of SKUAST-J which entered its day eight today have demanded removal of vice-chancellor and inquiry into the elevation of Sanjay Sharma as the Dy. Registrar of the University. As per press release union spokesman in a statement issued here today has demanded immediate re-instatement of all employees. He said members of union are ready to go to the extent of self immolation if their demands are not considered. He said all the aggrieved employees of union have request the Governor, N.N. Vohra and Chief Minister Omar Abdullah to save the lives of family members of the disengaged employees from starvation etc. He further said, Vice-Chancellor is forcing the police authorities to register FIR against the striking employees; the said, peaceful demonstration for genuine demands in the democratic right of every citizen in democratic setup of Government. He further said, that minister for higher education and sports R.S. Chib, MP. Chowdhary Lal Singh, MLA Mohd. Shrief Niaz, MLC TS Wazir and Harbans Singh have assured full support to the aggrieved employees.
