Udhampur Sept 26
A deputation of people from Chiani, Tajoor, Manwal, Thalora, Chatrah, Banja da Nal villages of Majalta Tehsil stormed the Deputy Commissioner’s office at Udhampur and showed their displeasure against CEO Udhampur and local ZEO for framing Village Education Committees (VECs) at the Gandhi Nagar residence of local MLA.
The deputationists were highly critical of CEO Udhampur’s step in convening a meeting of ZEOs falling in Ramnagar at the residential house of local MLA on Sept 16, with a view to including blue-eyed favourites of the MLA in the VECs.

The speakers were highly critical of undue and out-of-vogue politicization of the centrally-sponsored scheme, Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan & NREGA.
AC (R) Udhampur who was deputed see through the allegations has put to notice CEO Udhampur and ACD (RDD) and had sought a detailed report from them. Prominent among those comprising the visiting delegation included Jagan Nath, Madan Singh, Bhola, Rattian, Thakar Dass, Parkash Singh, Shiv Darshan, Channu Ram, Bhola, Roshan, Abbi, & Mool Ram.
Meanwhile R S Pathania, who contested Ramnagar Assembly polls unsuccessfully as an independent contestant has already reported the matter regarding illegal constitution of VECs to the Chief Minster & Education Minister.
