| BVP organizes competition of patriotic songs | | |

Jammu, Sept 26: The Bharat Vikas Parishad, (BVP) of Swami Vivekanand branch, Gandhi Nagar, organized its annual function of ‘national group songs competition’ at Durga Palace, Rampura Shastri Nagar, here today.
About 120 students along with 25 teachers from 11 schools of Gandhi Nagar, Shastri Nagar and Nanak Nagar area participated in the programme. The programme was based on competition in singing some specified patriotic songs by the groups of students. The theme of the programme is to inculcate sense of patriotism among the students.
Acting president of chamber of commerce and industries Om Prakash Gupta was the chief guest, and gave away certificate and gifts to the participating students. Prominent sense personalities Prof. Vijay Lakshmi, Prof. Renu Sehgal and Prof Seema Sharma acted as judges in the programme, while Lekh Raj Sharma president of the branch presented the vote of thanks and Arun Sharma conducted the proceedings of the programme.
