| Student held with Hawala money | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Sep 26: Police have nabbed a suspected militant from General Bus Stand here and recovered hawala money along with mobile handsets and SIM cards from his possession.
Identified as Zubair Ahmad a post graduate student and resident of Mendhar town in bordering Poonch district, the militant was arrested by a team of the Special Operations Group (SOG) and the police soon after he reached the City last night, sources told Early Times
Police have recovered hawala money, mobile phones
and some SIM cards from the possession of the arrested militant, who is said to be a close associate of Jaish-e-Mohammad’s (JeM) self-styled ‘divisional commander’ Dawood Ahmed, presently operational from Mendhar.Although authorities have yet not officially confirmed the arrest, but reliable sources said police were questioning Zubair to know his motive behind the visit to Jammu city.
