Kartar public school celebrated Navratra, Dusshehra festivals

Kathua, Sept 27: The students, staff, principal and the management committee members of Kartar Public School, Barnoti, celebrated Navratra and Dusshehra festivals with full zeal and enthusiasm in the premises of the school here today.
Speaking on the occasion chairman, Kartar educational trust Er. Nirmaljit Singh Amn greeted the students, staff and the management on the eve of festivals. He said that immediately after the Ramzan and Eid festival Navratras and Dusshehra festival succeeded in creating the environment of spirituality and humanity throughout the country and the world. He further said that these festivals symbolize the win of the truthfulness and humanity full of ethical, moral, spiritual values of the mankind especially of the ancient. Hindu religions, customs and rituals. While explaining the killing of Ravana by the Rama, he enlightened the students that on the occasion of these festivals we must follow the path of our religions and one must fight with the inner evils with the support of our inner confidence, character and moral values. He said that we must live with having love, respect and communal harmony and must also respect every religion in the world. Earlier, welcoming the students, staff and the guests principal Harpret Kaur, focused on the importance of these festivals in our lives. She said that we must celebrate this festival with all respect, dedication and commitment. She said that these festivals not only give us happiness but also help to transact our old traditional values and rituals.
During the cultural program students presented various colourful items regarding Ramayana and Navratras including the scenes of fight between Rama and Ravana followed by the death of Ravana, Hanuman and Sita Milap at Lanka when Hanuman with his Sena goes in search of the Sita Mata with the blessings of Rama. After this colourful program the students celebrated Dusshehra with burning the effigies of Ravana, Meghnath and Kumbhkaran. And after the Dusshehra the students, staff and other members enjoyed the Dandia dance which forced one and all to dance and enjoy the melodious beats of the Dandia dance and music. Sandeep of Ist class as Ravana, Abhishek as Rama, Sushant at Lakshman, Dilpreet Kauras Sita, Jagdeep as Rishi impressed with their marvelous performances. Parvinder Kaur, 11th standard students conducted the proceedings of the whole program in a befitting manner and also presented vote of thanks.
