| YC activists pay rich tributes to Bhagat Singh | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Sept 27- Rich tributes were paid to Shaheed-e-Azam Sardar Bhagat Singh in Jammu on his Birthday day by the Youth Congress activists. In this connection, scooter rally was taken out by the Youth Congress activists from Gandhi Nagar which culminated at Shaheed Bhagat Singh Chowk Jewel where the activists garlanded the portrait of Shaheed-e-Azam and paid floral tributes to him. Paying rich tributes, the speakers said this leader during the pre independence period sacrificed his life for the freedom of the nation. ‘Bhagat Singh, who is considered to be one of the most influential revolutionaries of the Indian independence movement, was hanged by British rulers of colonial India along with Rajguru and Sukhdev on March 23, 1931’, they added. Manjeet Singh Jatt, Youth Congress leader said Bhagat Singh instead of enjoying his youth took the mission of serving the nation and it was his dedication and commitment to nation that inspired many youth to jump into the freedom struggle. He asked the present generation to take lesson from the life of Bhagat Singh and work unitedly to defeat all such forces, who are posing threat to the nation.
