| World Tourism Day celebrations | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Sept 27- In connection with the celebrations of World Tourism Day, the Tourism Club of Centre for Hospitality and Tourism Management, University of Jammu in collaboration with Amar Mahal Museum organized a function which was inaugurated by former Deputy Chief Minister Pt. Mangat Ram Sharma here today. The event named as “Duggar Darpan” included exhibition by tour operators, Cuisine festival, cultural shows and performances by local artists. Such an event has been organized for the first time in Jammu region. During the exhibition Masters Tours and Travels (SOTC), Baba Tours and Travels, Leisure Travels-Thomas, Wings Tours and Travels and J.K. Travels (Cox and kings) displayed various Tourism products of Jammu region. The cuisine Festival was supported by JKTDC while in the evening the students of Government College for Women Gandhi Nagar and Parade presented programs depicting local customs. Ashok Khajuria BJP State President, Bharat Bhushan, MLA and Prof. Deepak Raj Gupta- Director CHTM, University of Jammu were the guests of honour. Arvind Sharma President Tourism Club CHTM speaking on the occasion said that we are committed to promote tourism in Jammu region. The event was sponsored by LG, R.V. College of I.T. and Management, Axial Tutorial, Department of Tourism and Hotel Karan, Katra. Big 92.7 was the radio partner of the event.
