| ASN School organizes National level group song competition | | | JAMMU SEPT-30- The management of ASN Higher Secondary School Channi Himmat in collaboration with Bharat Vikas Parishad (BVP) conducted a ‘national level group song competition’ in school premises today. Professor S C Anand National Secretary BVP was the chief guest while P B Kapoor of Adarsh Educational Trust was the guest of honour. Students from Heritage Public School, Sainik Colony, ASN HSS Channi Hinmat, JP World School, Maharishi Vidhya Mandir School, Little Flower HSS Greater Kalilash and Modern Public School Channi Himat participated in Hindi Song and Sanskrit Song Competitions. Vijay Laxmi Ex-Principal GWC Parade, Pushpinder Talwar HOD Tabla Institute of Music and Fine Arts and Prahhjot Singh Head Master GMS RSPura functioned as judges. Heritage Public School bagged first prize in Hindi Song Competition, Little Flower HSS won 2nd prize while the 3rd prize was won by ASN Higher secondary school. In Sanskrit Song Competition Heritage Public School bagged the first prize and ASN Higher Secondary, School the second prize. Consolation prizes were given to each of the participating teams. Ashok Gupta Secretary BAP presented vote of thanks. Prominent among those present were Dr Santosh Gupta President BVP, Prof N K Sehgal, Dr D R Kotwal, S M Sharma, Suraj Prakash Sharma and Prof A K Abrol. Earlier, Ritish Kapoor Administrator of the host school welcoming the guests and teachers and gave details about the motto for organizing such a competition to inculcate spirit of patriotism, traditions and culture of India amongst the students.
