| Army organizes medical-veterinary camps at Mandi, Tain | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Sept 28- A Rashtriya Rifles unit under the aegis of Romeo Force organized a Medical and Veterinary camp at Mandi, Loran today which was inaugurated by Commanding Officer. Locals hailing from remote villages of Loran Tehsil utilized the facilities of the camp. Six doctors including a Gynecologist, two lady doctors and a dentist along with supporting paramedic staff provided the much needed medical help and diagnostic advice to the patients. Approximately 1000 individuals of different age groups were benefited from the camp. Free medicines were distributed to the patients. Alongside the camp, a veterinary doctor treated 250 animals. During the camp, immunization of children below 10 years of age was also carried out. Lectures on family planning and health education were also organized to create awareness amongst locals on health and sanitation. Locals thanked the unit for conducting such camps. In the meantime Barasingha Battalion under the aegis of Krishna Ghati Brigade also organized a Medical camp at Village Tain, Mendhar. The event was marked by a large gathering in which approximately 500 people including women and children of all surrounding villages attended and were greatly benefited by the medical care arranged by the unit. The locals greatly appreciated the timely help and succor provided by the Army in such a remote and far flung area. For the entertainment and motivation of the people, a patriotic movie was also screened in the waiting area and refreshments were also served to the people who attended the camp.
