| Sikh sangat condemn nexus between police, criminals | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Sept 28: Sikh sangat which include various Sikh organizations have strongly condemned the nexus between police and criminals at a meeting chaired by Mahant Manjit Singh of Sheromani Dera Nangli Sahib, Poonch at Gurudwara Ashram here today. Addressing the sangat, ex-minister Rangil singh and ex-president J&K Gurudwara Parbandhak board, Sudarshan Singh Wazir said that the police and criminal nexus has spread the crime in Jammu day by day and many example of theft, chain snatching, drug smuggling beside other dangerous crimes are taking place. They said the recent murder of Amandeep Singh is the example of the nexus. Speakers and the gathering expressed sympathy with Amandeep Singh’s family and appreciated the role of state government and of chief minister for taking strict action against the culprits. They demanded that honest and persons with clean images be appointed as SHO’s of police station so that innocent persons are not harrassed. Addressing the gathering Mahant Manjeet Singh strongly criticized the murder of Amandeep Singh and stressed upon the Sikh community be united for teaching the lessons to anti-panthic forces. He also appreciates the role of SIT for speedy action against the culprits. Other who attended the meeting were Dyal Singh Wazir, Abtar Singh Khalsa, Taran Jeet Singh Toni, Mohinder Singh, Nabir Singh, Param Jeet Singh, Rajinder Singh, Joginder Singh, Harbans Kour and Harjeet Singh Kartar.
