| Cantonment board members hail establishment of CUs | | |

Jammu, Sept 28: The elected members of cantonment board held a meeting over the central university issue and hailed the decision of central government for the establishing of two central universities in the state. Corporator Rajesh Bakshi who chaired the meeting congratulated chief minister Omar Abdullah for fulfilling his commitment made to the people of the state and the student community. He said that Abdullah is a leader of word and is committed to equal development of all the three regions the state. Corporators present on the occasion include Bharat Bhushan, Hardev Singh, Tripta Devi and Paramjeet Kour and former member of cantt board, Prem Singh and Bachan Singh thanked UPA chairperson, Sonia Gandhi, Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh and HRD Minister Kapil Sibal for meeting the aspirations of the people of the state.
