| Nearly 55,000 devotees pay obeisance at Pingla Mata | | | Early Times Report
UDHAMPUR, SEPTEMBER 28 – Nearly 55,000 devotees from various parts of Jammu region visited Pingla Mata Devi Shrine at village Pinger situated on a hillock in Ramnagar Tehsil of Udhampur district during Navratras. It was disclosed by the President Pingla Mata Management Committee Ramnagar, Mr. Vinay Jandial, today.
The Akhand Jyoti of Pingla Mata which was lit at Ramnagar on the occasion of Ist Navratra at Ramnagar town, was taken to the shrine on 20th September, 2009 in a colourful procession on 2nd Navratra and later remained at Satsang Bhawan Ramnagar for public darshans upto 27th September, 2009.
The celebration function finally culminated on the occasion of Ramnavami with Kanya Pujan and distribution of prizes among the students who participated in various competitions.
Similarly over 40,000 devotes paid obeisance at Merhada Mata situated in block Ghordi of Ramnagar Tehsil during Navratra days. |
