| Three accident victims succumb | | |
Two killed in road accidents, body drowns in river.
JAMMU SEPT-30-Two persons were killed in two road accidents, five others sustained injuries while three accident victims succumbed to their injuries and a boy drowned in the Mandi River.
Reports said that Zulaqa wife of Nissar ud Din of Ashimuqam died on spot and five others sustained injuries when a truck in which they were traveling in rolled down at Seeri in Ramban on Jammu-Srinagar National Highway and fell into 150 feet deep nallah. .
The deceased as also the injured were evacuated and shifted to Emergency Hospital Ramban.
In another incident, a company’s vehicles knocked down a Bihari labourer working in a local cement factory Pandotra while he was sleeping under a tree. His body was shifted to hospital for post mortem and police registered a case in this regard.
In the meantime Vipin Sharma son of Vinod Kumar, Raj Kumari wife of Rashpal Saini resident of Saroora and Jiwan Singh son of Gupal Singh residential of Battal Majalta who were injured in separate road accidents and admitted in the hospital succumbed to their injuries
A police spokesman said that Sarfraz Hussain son of Nazir Hussain resident Saikloo drowned into the Mandi River while taking a bath near the Dak Bungalow.
In the meantime a Defence spokesman said this evening that the locals approached the RR for the assistance to recover the body of the drowned child. The troops immediately went to the site and with great efforts managed to recover the body from the Nallah this evening.
