| SPO shoots self while wife consumes poison | | |

A Special Police Officer (SPO) committed suicide by shooting himself with service weapon while his wife consumed poison to end life in Doda district here, police sources today said.
According to police reports the deceased has been identified as Satish Kumar son of Krishan Lal, of Kulhand village who shot had himself dead after a tiff with wife at his residence late last evening. Meanwhile his wife consumed some poisonous substance to end her life. She was rushed to a local hospital in serious condition, sources said.
Police have taken cognizance of the case and started investigation, sources added.
