| Symposium on ‘Relevance of Gandhian way of life’ at GCW Gandhi Nagar | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, SEPTEMBER 30 – Gandhi Jayanti was celebrated at Government College for Women, Gandhi Nagar, Jammu with great zeal and enthusiasm.
Principal of the College, Prof. Nalini Kohli was the chief guest on the occasion.
While speaking on the occasion, she urged the students to follow the path of truth and non-violence in their life as advocated by Gandhiji. She also stressed on the importance of being honest and truthful in their day to day dealings.
A symposium on ‘Relevance of Gandhian Way of Life’ also held in the auditorium of the college. Number of students participated and expressed their views on the said topic.
Prof. R. K. Raina, Prof. Vijay Sharma and Prof. Geetanjali Multani acted as judges of the symposium.
The principal of the college distributed prizes among 1st, 2nd and 3rd positions in the symposium.
Earlier, the programme started with paying floral tributes to Mahatama Gandhi followed by recitation of favourite bhajans of Gandhiji by the students of Department of Music. All the staff and students of Government College for Women, Gandhi Nagar, Jammu attended the function.
